We're starting to see fewer buyers and more homes on the market. This typically will indicate a little bit of a shift. But it doesn't always mean bad news, you may still be in good spot as a seller to take advantage of increased home prices and low home inventory. What does the Market look like as we move into Fall?


As we transition out of Summer, we are starting to see a small decrease in loan applications with home buyers. Typically, when we see less buyers on the market the amount of homes available (inventory) starts to increase. This leads to home prices leveling out and those on the fence about selling their house could miss out on this insane sellers market.

For those of you who are currently undecided about selling, we are seeing that home prices are beginning to plateau. By no means are we saying that we are anticipating a huge fall off, but as we move into the Fall season there will likely be a slight uptick in housing inventory. Which means your home may sit on the market a little longer, you may not get the same sale price you could have in the last several months, or you may need to do more to get your home sale ready.

Many sellers who are on the fence about selling are having a hard time finding what they'll buy or think that "I can't move forward without selling and I don't know when I'll buy". As a seller right now, you have options that we feel have helped many sellers over the past year navigate those waters and get them in a new home while netting the most money possible from the sale of their home.


Options for sellers who are on the fence:

Sell Now & Stay Put

This option is available to sellers who are ready to sell but don't have a new home under contract yet. Extend closing dates or sell your home and rent it back from the buyer for a limited time. 


Sell Now & Move Now

This option is the most typical. Sell your home and let our buyers agent team help you get into your dream home before you close on the sale of your home!

Alternatively, we can help you locate a short term rental or you could move in with family. Moving twice would be a pain, but could ultimately be the best decision so you're ready to make an offer when the time is right. 


Buy Now & Sell Later

Conclusion

The current market still favors sellers. As we move into Fall 2021, we are starting to see a slight decrease in homebuyers on the market and and a slight increase in home inventory.
